06/05/22 - The Santa Cruz Excursion

 

 

Oh what fun the city of Santa Cruz had to offer! I tell you what, it's not often I get to enjoy a fresh hot slice of pizza at 10 p.m while sitting right beside the roaring ocean! Sounds from the lively night crowds at each bar along the stroll of the boardwalk, fill the crisp night time air! Houses lit up right along the cliffs that border the entire beach path act as night lights so you can see where you're going! A friend and I stayed at a very cozy hotel in Hollister we could escape to when we were done in Santa Cruz. In the morning on the day we left, we stopped at a very cute fresh farm produce store. There, I bought 100% Raw unheated and unfiltered honey, and a bread making ingredients kit which came equipt with the components to make cheesy garlic bread! The second place we stopped by I can only describe as a HUGE farmer's market + candy store + restaurant called "Casa De Fruta" which I can assure you lives up to it's name. There were so many things to see in this area, we had some margs at a bar called "The Jury Room", we accidentally stumbled into some red room night club lounge. All in all I REALLY enjoyed myself on this very short trip! Attached is a small collage of just a few things regarding this short weekend getaway!
