06/14/22 - Coffee Shops & Planners!

 

 

I've made it a point to start using my planner way more again! Back in my receptionist days I use to use a planner all the time. It's so useful and ideal to be able to jot stuff down I can refer back to at a later time! It helps me track my earnings for the month (from all sources), helps remind me of things and also it's a great spot to put new passwords for different things.  Another thing I'm doing for a change is visiting different coffee shops. It's a nice change of pace to my very boring, very mundane coffee ritual which is going through a Starbucks drive-through. Exploring different coffee shops allows me to really indulge in the environment. The aromatic blend of coffee beans softly embraces the nostrils. Light chatter happening in each corner from other patrons. Gentle music fills the surrounding atmosphere. That in and of itself is a ritual lost and forgotten!! So I'm happy to be incorporating that into my life. We really get too caught up and invested in the "convenience" of it all that we lose sight of the elaborate and very involved routines of something so small like grabbing morning coffee.
