12/04/21 - The Temptress Becomes The Tempted

Last night I finished editing and publishing "Infectious Devotion", which is an original poem I did; inspired by a man I cared deeply for, a very long time ago. At the time I must of been 18 or 19, he was much older. He was someone I was working alongside at my family's business. Every morning I eagerly looked forward to coming in very early to clean while he was crafting beer. On the days he wasn't there or he left early I'd get so upset. Not only would we constantly exchange smirking glances but when we did converse - it was deep, intellectual, and meaningful. Appearance wise, he was extremely average looking, usually wearing worker cargo shorts, a company hoodie and big hulking boots. He was a very average looking guy, but to me he was golden.  You don't pick who you're attracted to, and for whatever reason he did it for me. A very inviting yet devilish smile, I had the HARDEST time looking him in the eyes. So anyways, I decided on making a poem about him a couple nights ago. A good girlfriend and I were out to dinner and discussing love. Not just regular love, but the butterfly in the stomach, puppy dog crush kind of love. I had recollected that the very last time I felt that was for this handsome brewer. I hope you give this a listen! Editing these poem videos takes almost two hours to do!!
