07/26/24 - Of Roses, Of Dust & Of Ashes 

 

 

Why hello my dears, I've got a couple things to throw at you! Firstly, I know I've spoken about my eccentric aunt and how she gifts me the most peculiar and brilliant finds! If it's not a bespoke hand sewn witch's hat adorn with spiders, crows and skulls....it's a vintage Yardley lip slicker deriving from the 1960's. Of course it wouldn't be complete if it didn't come inside a war torn multi color stitched lipstick holder! The mirror on the inside is slightly cracked and ancient looking! It really adds to the ancient antiquity of it all. She never fails to find the damnedest things! It was wonderful seeing her last Friday for the first time since her E.R stay. She's taken the time to not only physically recover but mentally as well. Being in a hospital for so long...they have a term for when it mentally takes a toll on you afterwards. I believe it's called "Post-Hospital Syndrome" and I can attest to it! The only time in my adulthood that I was in the hospital was for 8 hours. It took me weeks to feel normal again! Luckily she's come back around, and I know she's back to normal because she whipped this out of her purse and handed it to me. Like a rabbit out of a magician's hat! It never ceases to bewilder me when she comes at me with these uniquely eclectic wares. LASTLY! I've just received 1 of 2 Etsy decks I ordered! This one is an oracle deck called "Roses, Dust & Ashes - An Oracle Featuring Cemetary Symbols." Right off the bat there's immaculate artwork and I can't help but think, I'm gonna need to make a review video of this after I wear it in on my hotline! Perhaps I'll showcase this in tonight's Friday Youtube livestream!! Hope all is well with you sweet reader!
